Good to know
- Free and Premium both use a free Overcoat account: just your email, signed in by emailed link. It holds your email address and (for Premium) billing status. It never sees your mail, calendar or chats: those stay encrypted on your Mac.
- Cards are handled by Stripe; Overcoat never sees your card number.
- Trying it: start the trial with just your email. If you don't add a card, you go back to Free when it ends, and nothing you've saved is deleted.
- Cancel anytime from your account page; Premium stays on until the end of what you've paid for. See the refund policy.
- Claude is optional and billed by Anthropic to your own key, usually about 3¢ a question.
- Invite friends, get a free month for each. No limit. Your link is on your account page; a friend who sets up Overcoat and keeps it running earns you a month (a credit on your bill if you pay), and gets a month-long trial themselves. Details.
